David Tatnall

David Tatnall is a Hampshire‑based writer and long‑time educator with over twenty‑five years’ experience as a primary school teacher. He runs a youth theatre, directs his own theatre company (Pocket Theatre) and has performed as dame in thirteen pantomimes — experience that informs the comic timing, theatrical chaos, and warm ensemble humour of the Marmalade and Toast series.

David specialises in witty, character‑driven middle‑grade fiction with heartfelt emotional arcs and a distinctive British voice. He lives in Chandler’s Ford with his two ridiculous daughters, where he continues to write, teach, perform and occasionally interrogate suspicious vegetables.
