David Tatnall is a Hampshire‑based writer and long‑time educator with over twenty‑five years’ experience as a primary school teacher. He runs a youth theatre, directs his own theatre company, and has performed as dame in thirteen pantomimes — experience that informs the comic timing, theatrical chaos, and warm ensemble humour of the Toast & Marmalade series. David specialises in witty, character‑driven middle‑grade fiction with heartfelt emotional arcs and a distinctive British voice. He lives in Chandler’s Ford, where he continues to write, teach, perform and occasionally interrogate suspicious vegetables.
